During 2005 Ledstiernan decided to change its investment strategy. The new strategy meant that Ledstiernan widened its focus with regard to business sectors and that Ledstiernan would concentrate on finding investments that were further developed than those chosen previously.
During 2006 and 2007 Ledstiernan has acted in accordance with the new line of strategy. Amongst other things this has led to the formation of Polstiernan Industri, investment in Wazoo Holding (Katshing) and continued investment in Metrima. These investments, together with a strong development for MMG, have led to Ledstiernan’s portfolio becoming more focused around these four companies. With regard to turnover and value, the four companies constitute an overwhelming majority of Ledstiernan’s portfolio.
In view of this, Ledstiernan has decided that a transfer of the other companies to a newly formed subsidiary, Ledstiernan Venture AB is made. This restructuring is made to further clarify Ledstiernan’s investment focus and to make it easier to undertake future structural transactions regarding the companies transferred to Ledstiernan Venture AB.
